Scabby ear

does anyone know what this is? It seems to scab up and never really heals. I don't remember him getting bitten there. It becomes a small lump when it's scabby.

I have a vague memory of one of my German Shorthaired Pointers having that and it is something to do with fox mites (I think!). It did clear up with the correct medication from the vet.

 

Yeah right. He doesn't seem to scratch at it. But it does definitely look like the same symptoms on a Google search, albeit rather mild. I will have to take him to the vet on Tuesday I think.

 

Definitely need a vet to look at that, I'd say.

 

My wife just had him at the vet. It's a bit of dermatitis. So he's go some cortisone now and we'll see if it clears up
