Hi All, our little Bentley has been scooting first thing in the morning after he has been for a poo, he has been checked twice now by the vets and first of all they said it was becuase he had a blocked anal gland so they sorted that (Expressed them I think??) and then when we went again I mentioned it as he always seems to do it and the vet checked and said his anal glands seem fine and that it could just be first thing becuase he has been holding it in overnight? Im not so sure and want to maybe check them again but 3 times seems a bit much if vet says they are fine. Any other reason why he may be scooting and only first thing in morning? thanks.
Re: Scooting Puppy Yes they dont think its worms as he has had his treatment. he didnt do it today which was good!!
Re: Scooting Puppy I'm thinking maybe it was a kind of habit, from when he had the impacted anal glands. Hopefully now he'll forget about it...
Re: Scooting Puppy When you say scooting, do you mean running about wildly or diarrhoea? If the former, my dog, Lady has always done it. Straight after poohing in the morning she hoons off like a rocket.
