Harley is now just over 7 months. Her behaviour over the past few days has changed a bit. She wasn't really interested in playing with our next door neighbours male lab who is the same age as her.....the same on our walk this afternoon with other dogs we seen. She has always fell asleep cuddled near or on me, but past few days it's my hubby she goes to. She hasn't eaten all her meals in the past 2 days......she eats so much then leaves it (this is a first!!) and she is more tired than usual. She has been less obedient too which is out of character!

She is alert when awake and playful with us, she's drinking fine and weeping/pooing fine.

Could she be coming into season? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks x

Just got back from the vets. Decided to take Harley as she snapped at 2 dogs when we went for a short walk, they wanted a sniff and she snapped :(. Also, there was blood in her poo ;(
Vet said it is early for a lab to have a season, she would expect from 9 months onwards, but from examining her and listening to what's been going on that is is very possible this is what it is! She doesn't have a temperature and everything else is fine? She now weighs 20.8kg ::)
vet says she is very healthy and growing well, but did comment on how she really wasn't herself today :(. Hopefully we will know one way or the other in the next few days.

I sounds like it to me. Dogs do get PMS just like women and I bet in a week or maybe sooner she will be in season. Penny started her first one at the end of October which would have made her 10 months. My mums dog had her first season literally on her 6month birthday.
