Hi I am hoping someone may be able to share if their lab has developed dandruff and hair loss after switching to Fresh Pet chicken with cranberries and spinach from Canidae kibble.

Hi Gracie. Sorry to hear your Lab is going through this. It's always possible for any food to cause an allergy in a given individual. But the best person to advise on this - and rule out non-dietary causes of hair loss for your pup - is your vet. If you haven't seen them about this yet, I recommend giving them a call. I do hope they are able to help.

If it's been a recent switch and the issue appeared after switching, then that food is not agreeing with your dog.

Thank you for your insight. I have appointment for Gracie with her doctor tomorrow to hopefully get to the bottom of any medical issues. Thyroid?

Have taken her off the chicken based food (allergic?) and switched to beef and bison with an addition of a dose of salmon oil

I hope the appointment goes well, and her vet is able to help.

    Hello!
It looks like it's due to a change in food, quite often the allergen is chicken
but of course the veterinarian will tell you more exactly
