My young Lab shedded heavily while the older one hardly ever did. Now all of a sudden aged just 3 he seems to have stopped.

    Re: Shedding

Hi and welcome to the forum from me and my two dogs . I`m afraid that Labs are notorious for shedding copious amounts of fur, it wafts around my home like tumbleweed ;) I think that food can play a part in the quality of a dogs coat, but sorry , dog hairs are something we have to cope with, its a Lab thing ::)

Welcome to the forum, and yes Labradors shed! I seem to be sweeping up fur a couple of times a day with Juno. Either she sheds a lot are her chocolate fur shows up against my ceramic floors ;D

We were lucky at Christmas time when we stayed with family Isis didn't shed a bit. But now you wouldn't think she could possibly shed anymore! It is everywhere! Haha, wouldn't trade her for anything.

I have two litter mates, a yellow dog and a black bitch. The yellow one sheds SO MUCH but the black one hardly loses a hair. Both obviously on the same diet. I think it's just luck of the draw :)

Meg hardly sheds at all. She is 1. She is on eukanuba which says it helps reduce shedding. That's not why I feed her it though :)

The easiest solution to shedding is to buy clothes to match the dog. :)

Welcome from me,great to see you've joined the Forum,I have a 2.5 year old yellow lab and we live in the Middle East, this means he doesn't ever have the traditional thick double coat of a lab...so we don't have the big moults
    Best Wishes

Milly sheds a lot too. But seems to go in phases. ATM it's quite a lot and has been since we moved to QLD. Hotter, more humid climate I guess.

If Willow becomes a shedder, I won't be able to win with one yellow and one black!

I had a friend who had a Samoyed. She collected it's hair, learned to spin it and then knitted it into a cardigan.

I gather the cardinals very warm
