I was appalled this afternoon , by one of those people who know everything , but don't . I had gone for a walk , Nell was wearing her medical shirt to protect her wound , I walked her for maximum five minutes on lead , she did her wee and poo so I then carried her back to Paul at the car so that I could give Sam a good run . Watching all this was a woman I see from time to time , one I try to avoid as she is outspoken to the point of rudeness . She asked why I had Nell " dressed up " and why she wasn't going for a walk . I explained about her spay yesterday , adding that I wasn't dressing her up , but that being so low to the ground , the medical shirt kept her wound dry and safe . She scoffed , and said I must be mad , that Nell looked perfectly well and able to have a good run and that I was being one of those " ridiculous over protective owners " . To be honest , I am tired and not in a fit state of mind to think of a suitably rude and frank reply , I just hope that neither of her dogs ever needs surgery and caring for afterwards , so damned cross x

Oh @kateincornwall that is so,so horrid for you. What is wrong with people that they have to interfere in such a way. Clearly she hasn't enough to do in her own life. Have something nice to perk yourself up

Why do people think they have a right to comment on other people's dogs?! I just don't understand it - I've had more rude comments since I got Stanners than I've had in my entire life! Just ignore her, Kate. You're doing the best for little Nell and you can be 100% sure of that. Hope it didn't upset you too much x
Weird how a person who doesn't know your dog thinks they do know better. She's really not worth thinking about.
Kate, this woman is not worth a seconds thought. People who say hateful and hurtful things have nothing going on in their own lives which is why they do it. They are generally not liked either. I'm sure we could all think of someone like that. I really hope you are OK. xxx
Well I'm game to see if anyone's else is we could get her a protective t shirt. A nice mid line spay might give her something to think about rather than being horrid no best just to smile and think she has to go home with herself that must be terrible

This is why most of the time I like dogs more than people. On the positive side, the medical shirt sounds like a brilliant idea - I'd never heard of it. Glad she's doing so well and hopefully you're both getting better sleep now.

Continue while I take notes This is why my wife at times just turns to me and says 'you can't say that' I am glad that she is doing well and before you know it all will be back to normal
