Over the last few weeks, Harley has been lying on me to sleep and to gnaw on her antler/chews every day. She will come over if I'm on the iPad and will push it out of the way. At night she sleeps on our bed and every time I wake up her head is led on either my tummy, back or legs. When she was little she would cuddle up to sleep during the day, but stopped at about 6 months old. She has been much calmer at home most of the time too. Should I be worried? Or not?
Re: Should I be concerned? I think Harley and Pongo must have been chatting when they met a couple of weeks ago. Just recently, he has started coming up on the sofa next to me, pushing laptop out of the way, sleeping with his head on my foot - unheard of behaviour (he is not a cuddly boy normally). I wonder if it is something in the air? Do dogs change behaviour for winter?
Re: Should I be concerned? I hope it's because she wants to be with me, but just a bit worried because of all the health problems we have had ??? Harley says she told Pongo that their humans love it when they snuggle up and get more treats
Re: Should I be concerned? The Weather maybe. Since its gone cold and wet my two come and snuggle up to me. It's normal for Scott unless it's warm but scout only cuddles up when the weather is cold or damp.
Re: Should I be concerned? Holly does the same. She shoves my iPad aside so I can pat her head. She also loves snuggling up in the evenings, and lying between us on the bed. I wouldn't worry.
Re: Should I be concerned? Sam is just the same Ternaya , loving his cuddles at the moment , enjoy it
Re: Should I be concerned? Think it's definitely that time of year! Remy (my big maine coon) has just squeezed himself in between the dogs on the sofa...doesn't come into the front room spring and autumn...
Re: Should I be concerned? Isn't that weird? With our heated houses it can't be because they're really cold - it must be something instinctive about seeking extra warmth / cosiness when winter comes. Pongo has also started lying down in front of the woodburner to sleep - nose right up against the glass . Until a week or so ago he was always far too hot there and would curl up on the tiles at the other end of the room.
Re: Should I be concerned? Milo loves to lie on the sofa next to me but just lately as it's got colder has taken to sitting on top of me or lying right across me,really cuddling up.I add that I'm covered in a furry throw as well so nice and toasty.I've been surprised as the breeder told me labs don't like being hot!
