Morning all... I thought Bob was on the mend after Monday's sickness.. he's been on chicken and rice all week. Yesterday his poos were much more solid so I started introducing some kibble into the mix... Today I gave him all kibble for breakfast. Well it came straight back up.. literally within about 15 seconds from him eating it.

Strangely I took him to the vets yesterday as he has a tiny cut on one of his pads and I wanted them to check it out. It's fine.. there is nothing in there. Vet said to keep it clean with saline but he can be walked OK.

But I'm worried that the sickness has suddenly come back... did I introduce kibble too quickly do you think? Or is being sick that quickly a sign that maybe he's eaten something he shouldn't or perhaps there is something causing a blockage internally?

    Thank you for your advice...

Sometimes dogs do regurgitate a meal and then eat it again! My Lab had this problem when he was young but it finally solved itself. I would see how he goes, perhaps feed half the chicken and rice with half the kibble and perhaps smaller meals more frequently for a day or two. If worried, phone vet for advice. Make sure he poops as he may (unlikely) have an obstruction.

I would do 50/50 kibble/chicken & rice for a day or two and slowly up the kibble. He might still have a bit of a sensitive tummy x

Hey all.. I gave Bob a scrambled egg & probiotic fibre for lunch... poor wee lad he's been starving today. I've just given him some rice and chicken.... see if it stays down as it's his first proper meal really since this morning. If it stays down I'll phase in some kibble tomorrow for his breakfast.. if not, I'll stick with the rice & chicken for a bit longer...

    Thanks for your help.
