Yesterday Molly was ill again - third time in three and a half weeks. She kept being sick and couldn't even keep water down. She was also very lethargic & miserable. She ended up having an ultrasound scan as the vet thought there was a blockage. Thankfully no blockage, so given another anti-sickness jab and I chose to bring her home, though they did recommend keeping her in for rehydration. However once home she was able to drink and keep it down. This morning she seemed right as rain, asking for food and drinking & weeing normally. The vet said there's a lot of diarrhoea in her system to come but so far have only had a very small amount - impossible to collect, which is what I'm supposed to be doing.
Molly was so healthy - despite often eating things she shouldn't - until this all started. I just wish I knew what was causing it. Since last weekend I've stopped feeding raw and bones and she's been on Arden Grange puppy sensitive (which she loves), but sadly it doesn't seem to have done the trick.

It is very worrying, my thoughts are with you. I'm sure Molly, with her vets help, will get better soon.

SO sorry to hear this. I think your job is the TLC and work with the vet. Has she had any blood tests?

Thanks all. No they did n't suggest blood tests. They say the next step is a poo sample. She seems to have bounced right back and I wonder if I over reacted yesterday. Trouble was she couldn't keep water down and they said she was a bit dehydrated. I'm watching like a hawk in case she picks up any rubbish - she's such a scavenger.

My two are always eating things they shouldn't. I'm sure they like to worry us just to keep us on our toes.

Im glad Molly is improving. :) Let me know if you work out the answer to stopping scavenging. Then again if you work that out you'd make a fortune. ;)

Hope the vet helps you find some answers......Dexter had a lot of runny tummies when he was younger and he is still upset easily if he eats anything except his very restricted menu. When he's had a run of recurring upsets,I've always been prescribed a probiotic for him in addition to any medication he's been prescribed, that might be something that will help her if her tummy lining is irritated. She's really well thanks. Did n't even have the diarrhoea the vet predicted. Can't decide use whether to take a sample to vet tomorrow or not. It will be another £80.

I think it would be appropriate to play that one by ear.

I don't know much but seems sensible.
