Hello Everyone, I am at a loss. My 1 year old Chocolate Lab has problems with his skin that I can not seem to figure out. This is the first dog I have had in 20 years, so I have been learning as I go. My dog has had multiple skin infections. It seems to be a yeast issue. Also he has had signs of that I think is Follicle Dermatitis?!? I think that is what it is called? His skins is flaky on his back. Some spots are almost like scabs. He smells bad too. He has red spots in between his legs. I have took him to the vet multiple times for this. Every time they give him an antibiotic it clears up but comes back within a month or so. Here are some things I have tried to help.
    - Changed food to a Salmon food with Omega Fatty Oils
    - giving him a allergy/ probiotic supplement
    - fish oil tablet
    - coconut oil on his food
    - Giving him a bath with a anti fungal shampoo
I don’t know what else to do! Any suggestions?

Hi Duke. Poor pup! I suggest asking the vet for a referral to a skin specialist. They can hopefully give you a firmer diagnosis and a better management plan.
