One of my best friends had to have her rescue dog put to sleep on Thursday. She had a tumour in her jaw which was discovered when she was at the vets having her teeth cleaned, she was only about 9 years old, a little terrier cross. I have known this little girl since my friend rescued her from a not very nice family. My friend is heartbroken as this is the second rescue dog she has had and both had to PTS at the same age. I feel so very sad for her and can only imagine how she is feeling. Sleep well little Ruby we will miss you xxxx

My heart goes out to your friend, it is so painful to lose a dog, especially when you don't expect it and the dog is 'young'. Having you be there for your friend will be a support and comfort x
