Im probably worrying over nothing but here goes…!

We picked up Fawkes on wednesday evening, since yesterday evening he seems to be sleeping a lot more and lot deeper. He's eating, drinking, pooing and peeing fine, so I can't decide whether he's just knackered himself out getting used to his new surroundings (for all he had bounds of energy on friday he was a bit nippy as if he was fighting sleep) or whether somethings wrong? He had a sneezing fit earlier (first time, could be down to change of surroundings) and my father in law commented that he had a runny nose (i disagree, his nose is wet, not streaming liquid and there is no mucus)

Would be grateful of a second opinion…

Very difficult call, but pups do tire very easily indeed and will sleep a lot too . Is he playing between naps ? It is common for them to be shattered when they arrive at their new home, its all the changes to get used to, sights, sounds and smells . If you are still concerned tomorrow or in the meantime he is hard to wake from a sleep and wont play , then I would definately get some Veterinary advice , gut instincts are not a bad thing , hoping all will be well :)

Charlie slept loads and loads - and very deeply, when he was little. But when he was awake, boy, we knew it! I'd say if he is energetic and playful when awake, then sleeping a lot isn't really a problem.

He seems much brighter this afternoon. I think he's just worn himself out. Will keep an eye on him and if he seems quiet again tomorrow I'll give the vet a buzz. Thanks for setting my mind at ease!

Harley slept loads in the first 2 weeks she was with us. She would sleep for 2-3 hours, wake up to eat/toilet/play for an hour then fall asleep again. I think a lot of puppies do the same x

Puppies sleep deeply and frequently. The key is how lively he is in between naps. He should be full of beans. If in doubt, off to the vet. :)
