Small Black Dog is Hefted to the Shoot

    Lady most certainly is a proper gundog. She is a genuine working dog. Whether or not she would win a competition may be another matter, but she is having a great life with you, keeping fit and happy, finding and fetching pheasants so that they can provide a healthy, decent dinner for those who enjoy eating them. That's what a gundog is. :) And she sounds better behaved than many of the dogs I see on shoots.

    I have worked dogs on shoots for years, I worked Rourke last year picking up and my friend is handling him this year. David, I don't think you can compare Field Trials with a shoot, not in my experience anyway :)
