Amy has been mouthing and humping us again this week!!! The kids are home from school all day but they aren't getting her over excited. Sometimes we just need to walk past her and she will start! I am thinking maybe attention seeking as she is getting less of my time this week?? The mouthing is soft and more like clothe tugging but does catch our arms sometimes!

She actually just really hurt my eldest, hoping it was by accident as she was near him with her toy and she caught his arm.

But ran to her bed when I got up so she must have known what she did.

No, just humpy and mouthy! Think she must have thought it was her toy she had but was his arm. As she was quite quiet when she did it, just sat on him while to chew her teddy bear up.

Sounds totaly normal. The mouthing is trying to get you to play, and depending what age a bit of teething. Otis at a year old still does it, but it isnt painful, as I taught him bite inhibition. The humping is playing and excitement too, Otis still does it occasionaly. Its all very harmless, but if the mouthing is painful, with sharp puppy teeth, time out, turning away, keeping still, giving a chew toy, and also importantly yelping to show it has been painful, will all teach her. Maggie x

    Aww Jade...missed this yesterday.
Hope you are having a better day.
We have had a couple of lovely days weather wise (my holiday week was dismal :( ) so hope you are getting out and about with the Amy and the kids.

Amy is 14 months old Maggie!

We have been out for lots of long walks and training while boys play at the park. maybe she is getting overtired rather than over excited. Boys with Grandma just now and she is fast asleep in her bed despite been on her own for a few hours this afternoon.

What ever the reason I need it to stop!

Riley finds a change in routine slightly stressful and becomes a little clingy. So when my husband is on holidays (he's a teacher) and when he goes back he definitely has a funny day or so. It could just be that making her regress to her previous attention seeking behaviour.

Good luck getting her back on track :)

i find that very interesting barbara, my daughter is also a school teacher, in manchester, different holidays form wigan, jasper is at his best when it is school holidays.......the walks are very different, we get a little bit of good weather we see loads of different dogs, snow/rain/sleet. sunshine we go out,....school holidays jasper loves them, don't no what it is with him, he just adores children,....i am like the piped piper, he just loves being out with children, that is when he as at his best, :) :) :) :)
logan as always been allowed to train him with me, all family members have been able to use the whistle for recall , just the way i wanted it,...even now i can give the whistle to any of the children to blow, he just comes running back to it, regardless of how many pip pips are blown,......i suppose every dog is different jasper will only ever be a family pet, :)
i haven definetley landed on my feet with this little guy ;D ;D ;D
i love it when they say to him, sit WAIT WAIT, i will give you your ball when i am ready :) :)

Riley adores my OH and they have a great time together it's just the point that the routine changes that causes him some confusion. Once he gets that OH is home to walk and play he's fine and then again as OH goes back to work. Bless Riley he does like his consistency ;D

I love how much Jasper adores the children, all his little buddies :)
