I did some "leave it" basic training with Willow, with a ball of raw mince - food of the Gods in her mind - and she aced it! We're not at the command stage yet, just starting off with my hand covering the treat, then uncovering it and if she leaves it, click and treat a bit of the ball. If she tries to get to the food, I just cover it calmly with my hand until she steps back again. I didn't really expect her to be able to resist the mince, but she was amazing. I am so proud of my little girl and such a mummy bore but I don't care! Hah!!

Don't worry, Snowbunny. I'm sure it's just a stage Willow's going thru. ;D It may take a week or so to settle in and then you'll have a normal puppy on your hands. It took Sara about that long before everything angelic vanished and the jaw power increased. When she starts licking you, she's really washing her food. Protect your nose and ears. But you will love it all. Oh, and when Willow sleeps, you should too. Haha.
