Every now and then when I take Lady for a walk she stops at the end of the drive, looks at me, sits and puts her paw over the lead and pulls it down. The look on her face is as if to say "Must we go. I really don't feel like it". Ears pulled down and pathetic eyes if you know what I mean. If I unhook her paw and say come on, she just puts the paw back! After a little sit she then gets up and trots off for the walk. So what's that all about do you think?
Re: So what's all this paw over the lead about? Maybe she is trying to tell you that she doesn't want to go out ???
Re: So what's all this paw over the lead about? I had something odd with Charlie at the start of walks - he was reluctant to get started. I think it was all about the harness (which I don't use so much now) making him unhappy. He doesn't do it now, harness or not. Is it always the same place she does it? Is there (or was there) something to upset her?
Re: So what's all this paw over the lead about? David, do you walk Lady on a lead or slip lead? If you swap maybe she doesn't like one or the other :-\ x
Re: So what's all this paw over the lead about? I think you got it in your first post, David. Some days she just doesn't feel like it.
