Willow spent the night at the vet and is being spayed today. The vet was very reassuring when we took her in and allowed us to leave her lambie with her, so hopefully she was as settled as possible last night, even though I feel horrible for "abandoning" her. She didn't want to walk off with the vet when we took her in, so we left promptly - I'm sure that it would have been worse us hanging around with her trying to pull back to us.
We're expecting a phone call at about midday and will then be picking her up around 6pm. Then we have to go back for check-ups every three days, which seems like very thorough after care? I'm hoping we can use those opportunities to help make her feel good about the vet again.

I thought Shadow would be out of sorts without his sister, but he doesn't seem affected at all. I'll be taking him to his home from home in a little while, where he'll stay until Willow has recovered. We spent a few hours there yesterday evening and he quickly claimed a spot on the sheepskin rug in front of the log burner. I think he'll be more than happy there with his good mate Alfie.

I am sure all will go well. Keeping busy is a good idea.
All will be well if she has her lambie with her.

Hi Fiona, it's a funny old day isn't it. We are now 4 days post operation and I am actually looking forward to going back to work next week for a rest!
The day will go quickly enough and you'll be home with her giving cuddles.
    Have a good weekend. :)

We had the call from the vet; everything went well and we can pick her up at 5:15 this evening. Can't wait to have her back home so I can look after her.

Thanks for all the words and especially to Obi for coordinating the lambies :)
