I have just been clipping Charlie's nails and one of his back ones has split, it's not bleeding or hurting him as I have manipulated it but my question is, is the quick dead on the split bit I don't want to snip it if it isn't and hurt him, also how far down should I snip it? Thanks x

Poor lad , but I wouldn't worry Helen , Sam currently has a split in one of his front dew claws . Just snip the very end tip off if it needs it and leave well alone unless it starts to bother him x

I still can't bring myself to clip Harleys nails.........I get the vet nurse to do it! I'm worried I will cut too much off or will hurt her!
