Our dog Cliff has two strange bumps on him. One looks like a bug bite and has been one him for a about two weeks. The other looks like a bubble blister but almost like something growing through it. Took him to the vet about a week ago and he said they were Histiocytoma.
As soon as I figure out how to ad photos I will. Not sure if I’m able to do it from my phone.

Here is a picture of the one that really concerns me. The vet gave us Hydro B 1020 to put on it.

Hi , I understand that histiocytoma are harmless . When my boy had a lump , the Vet did a fine needle aspiration to remove some cells for biopsy . I remember the Vet telling me that if it was histiocytoma , then it was nothing to worry about at all . If you are really worried , which you obviously are , then maybe ask your Vet to take cells for testing , just to put your mind at rest , and good luck .

Yeah I took him about a week ago after I noticed the two spots. That’s when he said it was histiocytoma. Yeah I’m still worried. I’ve been putting the medicine on it but it doesn’t seem to be getting better. The one that looks like a bug bite, not picture, seems to be going down. The other one though doesn’t. The other one looks like something is growing from it. Idk if it’s matted up hairs growing through or what. But it looks weird. Thank you for the advice. I may have to take him up there again next week when I get a chance. I really wish I could upload a better picture of it.

If you are still worried (which it sounds like you are), I would go back to the vets and ask for a biopsy to be done just to make sure. Hope you manage to get it sorted, it does look yucky.

Yeah he has his yearly shots coming up so I’m gonna take him Monday for those and have them relook at it. I was posting to see if anyone else has seen this before.
