I know Hattie is 8 years old but it still feels so good when training pays off. We were returning from our walk this morning when along came a Cockerpoo called Alfie who is about 2 years old, his owners were busy picking fruit from the bushes whilst Alfie was 'entertaining' himself. Off into the field he shot flushing Pheasants and chasing them around whilst Hattie stood completely still watching him then looking to me and back to Alfie which went on for about 2 minutes when I heard one of his owner say "Oh I better go and see what the dog is doing" she then decided it was a good idea to try and get him back I was pretty proud of Hattie despite her age as I do put a lot of time into her training every day so I was pretty chuffed that she decided it wasn't a good idea to help Alfie chase the Pheasants Now I'm not saying she doesn't flush the odd one out herself but today she was a star which is always good infront of another owner xx
Very well done Hattie.....that was a big temptation Helen ,she did very well not to join in and just shows how training can save you from a free for all melee x
