Does anybody have any suggested of where to take Max for off lead walks? He's very nervous of other dogs at the moment so somewhere fairly quiet would be good - we've started a puppy training class for socialisation. I'm struggling to think of some good spots that aren't riddled with dogs and tons of people
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? What area of Bristol do you live? I would avoid places like snuff mills and Blaise castle until he is a bit more confident. I live in North Bristol not far from parkway train station and have 2 walks I use a lot as they are generally quieter.....back of Bradley stoke woods and forty acres in Stoke Gifford. Hope this helps a bit
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? And if you are near North Bristol, Wapley common is lovely, there are some quiet areas too, plus a small parking area (off Besom lane) http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2905530 Click on link and drill down for an interactive map
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? I'm in South Bristol. Those look great for weekends! Thanks very much
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? I'm going yo try Wapley Common next weekend, thanks Kate
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? Hi, I live in South Bristol, whereabouts are you? I might be able to recommend some local places
Re: Suggested Bristol walks for nervous, new to the floor puppy? Victoria Park in Bedminster is very friendly. They have a dog walkers Facebook page so you can probably find out who's going to be around for some puppy socialising. I walk in Redcatch Park in Knowle which is lovely on a sunny day for socialising with children, also football played there on Saturdays and some evenings.
