Yesterday, the wind caught the back door to the garage and closed on Drift's tail, it looked OK for the first minute but then started to bleed. We bound it up and the bleeding eventually stopped, though the house downstairs was covered in blood stripes!

Today, my daughter called and this caused Drift great pleasure and of course his tail wagged and it opened the split again, this time much worse, slashes of blood round the house now, took ages to clean up. I remember reading of a tail guard and wondered what you might recommend from personal experience?

I think Angela got one eventually but decided her makeshift one was better.
Can't for the life of me remember how she made it.
Hope she will be along soon.

Hoping this isn't going to take too long to heal. :( Poor Drift :(

Oh no, poor Drift. I hope his tail heals up.

Angela will be along....I think she used the tube from a syringe. Lochan mentioned the name of a tail bandage...

Thanks for the link Oberon. Will also be interested in how Angela made a tail guard with a syringe. x
