May be a silly question but for a short hair with double coat, Hero is in full shed. How long approximately should we expect seasonal shed to go on for before questioning if something other than normal is going on. Novice to this. With cats and long hair breeds have always known what to expect but first time with this thick short coat. Am using zoom groom daily so he doesn't pick constantly and eat masses of loose hair which he would if left but it's been full on for the last two and a half weeks, and by full on I mean he's spreading magic fibres everywhere en mass. But he's not scratching or biting at himself and his coat is lovely and glossy and shiny. Just admitting that I don't know

Labradors only shed twice a year; for 6 months in spring, then for 6 months in Autumn :-D

I seem to hoover and time I am back after putting it away Luna has decided to roll on her back and put her hair over the floor again. It is like she thinks I am trying to get rid of her and she won't let me!

No need to use a brush. Swimming gets most of the lose hair which does not fall to the ground :)

needless to say we use the hoover a lot
