Yesterday we introduced Holly to the dog next door. He's a 4 year old, male intact black Lab. After initial caution they decided that they liked each other. They spent the next ten minutes chasing each other with lots of play bows and play fighting. There was a little tension when Ted went for Hollys log, but it turned into a another chase and a bit of tugging. He seems to be a lovely dog with high energy and low obedience. We'd liike to try walking them together sometime so Holly can teach him to swim.
Re: The dog next door.... So great for them to have a playmate , Holly will soon be swimming once she sees her friend in the water, then you wont be able to get her out
Re: The dog next door.... Her new friend is called Ted. He's a fairly normal sized Lab, maybe 30 kg. Holly is the water baby. Ted doesn't swim (yet) but is quite content to stand in the shallower water.
Re: The dog next door.... Come om,be honest, that's the reason you moved to your new house.....the neighbours own a lab! Happy swimming Ted.....and much mud rolling to come! X
