My proud moment today was Gypsy's recall on her free run, she sticks to me like glue too!
I try to do lots of hiding but she finds me really quickly.

    Proud proud proud!

    ;D ;D ;D

What were you proud of today?

Aw, I love Gypsy's wrinkled eyebrows!!

I have lots to be proud of Willow today.
    1. I left the room to do some stuff in the kitchen for a few minutes and she didn't whine once.
    2. She settled down and didn't make any attempt to get to us while we were eating our roast chicken lunch.
    3. I did some clicker training with her crate and she didn't whine once.
    4. She's getting better and better at pre-command "leave it", even with distractions (like me moving the treats around in front of her). Even with roast chicken!

We won't mention the big chunk of moss she dug up, brought inside and proceeded to break into a million pieces all over the floor :D

Once.... just once.... he came back to the whistle AFTER HE'D STARTED RUNNING AFTER THE DOG IN THE NEXT FIELD!

Although possibly it's because the dog went out of sight. But still....so proud.... ::)

Gypsy has to be one of the most photogenic pups ever! Always looks gorgeous and completely innocent!

For is great recall, heel work, sit and stay and best of all.....didn't eat the dead mouse she found in here!

    Gypsy you are quite beautiful!

Great recall on our walk this morning with 4 other dogs and so polite when meeting new dogs and owners. Just back from a fab gundog lesson....I love the joy in her face when she is doing a retrieve :)

The postman knocked on the door with a parcel. I told Molly to sit and wait and she did.

Doesn't sound like much, but for us it was a massive stride forwards.

I don't think Brodick qualifies as a Pup at 2.5 but last night when I took Cuillin out for her bed time wee tootle I forgot to close the baby gate over the Dog Room where their crates are, and where B was left behind having a peanut butter kong. Came back in fifteen mins later and noticed to my horror the open baby gate. B left unsupervised in the house tends to mean Cushion Flinging and General Tomfoolery with household items normally banned, with a spot of counter surfage thrown in...but there he was just curled up on my bed. He wagged tremendously when I found him and looked quite surprised about hinself too...an inspection of the house revealed an UNTOUCHED open peanut butter container on kitchen counter, cushions in place...I think he may have suddenly grown up a bit without me noticing :D

    Gypsy is just scrummy....

Don't worry - it sounds like a big deal to anybody with an excitable dog (me included) ;) This is still a WIP for us so I'm very jealous!

That's why I put this thread in Labrador Chat not the Puppies board - I just liked the title - Proud Pooch Parents it should have said!

There - I have changed it.

    :) :)

Harley is at home in the living room when I'm at work. I leave clothes, bags, paperwork etc all over the place (we are currently renovating the whole house!) and she never touches any of it :) I watch her on webcam and apart from having her kongs, she sleeps :)

It is therapeutic to think about all the ways our pups are very very good, rather than the things they need a bit more help with.... ::)

So...ways in which Pongo is a very good boy...

He never tries to take anything off the coffee table in the sitting room, even though he can now look down on it and even if our dinner is spread out there waiting for us to eat it and we are not in the room.

He never tries to come upstairs, even though the stair-gate has gone. He just lies down by the bottom step and looks up wistfully.

He has stopped going mental when the postman comes in. Mostly.

He usually doesn't jump up at visitors any more (unless they look like Paul...and that is definitely not Pongo's fault... ...)

He never chews anything that he doesn't know is 'his'. Although he'll occasionally run off with a piece of footwear just to get our attention when we are being particularly boring...

He sleeps all night long in the sitting room, never a peep out of him and never anything disturbed (except his own toys).

So really he is a very good ten month old puppy and it is very unfair of us to criticise him just because he is completely and utterly deaf and unresponsive to the words 'Pongo Come'! or anything similar.... :-[

    Bless his little hairy socks.

    Proud mum Rosie

Went to the dog park last night and Simba a had a great deal of fun playing very nicely with a dog that was about half his size. Never got too rough and they both got worn out. He was the biggest dog there and even though a few of the small dogs were barky and snarly he just ignored them. :)

Well our HUGE success story today was Casper has finally caught on his has a name. For anyone who doesn't know Casper, he is a rescue lab with no name that we have been fostering since last weekend :) :) We are so chuffed for him (Casper has also allowed Benson to hump him..not quite so thrilled at that..)

    Well done Casper. ;D

Today Scott and Scout voluntarily went up to somebody we only occasionally meet to be stroked !!! Scott kept going back for more even scout went back twice !!!!

It was like having real Labradors ;D.

If only it could be like that with all people. Still you never know one day. ;)
