... Is frightful. Appalling - howling gales, driving winds, travel warnings, flooding... We are at my mum's, battening down the hatches for the evening! The next few days are going to be really busy. Poppy is having a lovely time, daughter has arrived from the states, son coming in time for new year's... I'll be popping on from time to time, but may not have enough time to be on the forum very much. Wishing you all a lovely pre-Christmas time, wherever you are - stay safe and dry! Karen :)

Merry Christmas Karen, weather absolutely miserable here, trees down, flooded roads, mud upto our ankles, gale force winds. Have done all I can do for Christmas, whatever I have forgotten - TOUGH ;D

Absolutely awful here - still up, as neighbour's tree is across our back garden! Much inspecting of garden walls with torches etc.

OH has decided it's too risky to have puppy at the back of the house, so all 30kgs got carried up the stairs for a special treat of a sleep in the bedroom. Honestly. ::) It's only because OH likes puppy cuddles in bed.

Hope everyone is safe in the winds and floods.
Lying in bed this morning....Christmas music playing. .....wind howling....hailstones......
Maybe we will think about a walk a little later :D

Really hope everyone is keeping safe, whether travelling or just at home.
    Look after yourselves.

Weather overnight here has been dreadful , lots of flooded roads, tress down and general chaos :(
I took the dogs to Golitha Falls this morning, it is a proper mess, paths washed away , lots of damage to trees, bridges over the river are dislodged and unsafe, we didnt stay long :( :(

Hope everyone's ok this morning! We have no power, hopefully the turkey is still cool enough and we'll get some power back so we can cook it tomorrow! Otherwise it's cheese sandwiches all round ;D

I'm in the red section for today's storms but so far I have had the dogs out for an hour and I'm now watching the Simpsons with a cup of tea.

    So far so good

yesterday was appalling, howling winds. We had a sleepless night as barley would not settle as he could hear the wind and he found it distressing, i ended up sleeping downstairs on the sofa as he would not sleep, whilst puzzle was in the land of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Well I have to say that's one of the most beautiful Christmas mornings I can remember, white frost on the ground, blue skies and a crisp cold breeze.

    Beautiful
