This might sound crazy, but I think my pup is scared of the sun.

Ok, I've been testing this for over a week now, and I've concluded that our pup Sally is afraid of being in the sun. We go for our first walk in the mornings before the sun is up - she does great, walks nicely, no whining, etc. We go again an hour later when the sun is out - she is freaking out, charging, pulling, whining and yowling. We pass under some shade, she calms. We pass back out into the sun, she freaks out again.
We live in the Southern US, so I know it's hot here, but it's not that hot at 8 am (maybe 75).

What can I do to make her more comfortable??

Are you walking on pavement and if so is it hot under her feet? (If it's too hot for you to walk barefoot it's too hot for your dog's feet too.)

No, no pavement. We have several acres, so we do walks around our property. All grass.

Get her some sun shade goggles? Strange problem. Good luck.

@Samanthamgentry you have an unusual problem. Have you asked your vet to check your dog's eyes? How does your dog's pupils react to light?
