I took the dogs to my favourite place, high up on the ridge overlooking the waterfalls , its lovely early morning when no one else is there . Dogs were sniffing hither and thither when we turned a corner and there was a deer, righ in front of us in the bracken , slight panic from me wondering what the dogs would do , trying to keep calm . Sam , one look and he sniffed the air as the deer melted into the undegrowth, then ran to me or rather behind me, braveheart that he is : Millie , barked at it, hot pursuit for seconds , me thinking this it is, she`s off, but bless her, she appeared just moments later to Sams side ,almost a smile on her little face like she was saying " Its ok Sam , i`ve scared it off, you`re safe now " ;D

They certainly raise a smile when we`re out and about , big Sam and his sidekick ;D We` ve had to be careful not to " Love bomb " Millie , too much too soon can be a mistake with rescues, but she has slotted right in and not made a jot of difference to our lifestyle , the bond between them is very sweet indeed . I dont usually have favourites, let alone admit to it but whilst I love our little rag bag girlie and Paul is besotted/enchanted by her , Sam has my heart
