Hi all. I'm trying to keep my nerves and worry to a minimum. Milly goes in to be spayed in a few minutes. I actually feel bad. I know it's the right thing and she will be fine but she is still my baby. I'm going to walk her down to the vet. May as well give her a little excersize before she is confined. Plus she loves her walks. Well here we go. Will keep you updated.
Re: Today is the day I'm sure it'll all go really smoothly Definitely understand the angst though... I'm sure they'll take great care of her. When she's all better we'll go for another walk/picnic at the lake
Re: Today is the day Thanks everyone. I just dropped her off and she is first on the list at noon. She will have some blood tests this morning and pr med etc then we should be able to pick her up at 3.45 this afternoon. They will ring me when she goes in. Such a funny dog. She got super excited when she realised where we were going.almost trying to leap through the door that wasn't even open yet. Lol wonder if she will have the same willingness next time

My boy has had quite a time with a ruptured cruciate, several general anaesthetics, major, major surgery where he was very confused and distressed afterwards, and he still bounds through the door of the vet's and rolls over for a tummy rub when he sees the surgeon. If she is well treated, and I'm sure she will be, they bounce back. . And labradors are good at bouncing!
Re: Today is the day Got a call about half an hour ago to say she is in surgery now. They are wonderful in there so I'm sure she will be well loved and looked after.
Re: Today is the day oh i am glad it is over with and she is awake, our journey starts in 3 hours time, jasper is being neutered today
Re: Today is the day Just picked her up and she is very quiet and sedate. But doing well. I wonder how long the quiet and sedate last lol. Will be thinking of Jasper today too. Hope it all goes well.
Re: Today is the day My Millie was spayed about four months ago Annette , the sedate period doesnt last for long Get well wishes winging their way and good luck to Jasper too
