My 2 year old 70# female lab tore her ccl about 2 weeks ago. Doing the research. TPLO sounds like the gold standard but a few others out there swear by the tightrope procedure. Yes its cheaper but one surgeon says they have no issues even with a 100# dog. Plus its a little less invasive.

    Any others have any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Two training friends recently had TPLO surgery and have recovered very well. These are hard charging field trial dogs and both run as if nothing had ever happened.
My understanding is that TPLO is the route to take for a highly active dog.
