Any advice for travelling with my 4 month old pup? I have a VW Beetle (not the most practical!) Just now he sits in a crate on the back seat, but he'll soon grow out of it. I've bought a harness that attaches to the seat belt, and hoping he'll learn to sit/lie on the back seat. But I'm wondering if I should use the boot? Any other lab/Beetle owners out there?
    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum from the Beanwood pack :)

I would recommend in your circumstance a good crash tested harness combined with some sort of cover for the back of your car to protect the upholstery from mud/dog hair. I am not sure the boot is a good idea, unless you remove the boot cover and fold down back seats. I am not though familiar with the design of a VW Beetle, so cannot really comment on their dog-practicality score! :)

Don't worry, it won't be long before you join the ranks of those of us who drive ugly-but-practical cars because of our dogs :D
