Hmmm, could it be? Squidge has definitely been a bit more "nesty" recently, digging at beds to get them just so, something she's never done before. She is a bit saggy in the tummy and keeps taking anything fabric that's not nailed down to suck on, also something she's never done before. She was completely obsessed with the Conchita's Ruff & Tumble coat when I took it off yesterday to check the scar. And now, she's started crying when her toys squeak as she's chewing on them. Hmmm....

She seems fine in herself, other than that. Watch this space.

I'm leaving her with J on Wednesday night as I have a four-day course. Then I'm coming back for one night only before taking Conchita to the UK, so it looks like it'll be him that has to deal with it if it gets worse :wasntme:

Tell him to give her lots of activity and training to keep her mind off things... Fingers crossed it all stays within manageable bounds.

Really hoping it doesn't go to the next stage ( milk ) and that she can cope by distraction . We removed all squeaky toys when Millie had her full blown phantom , just distracted by playing games , its not nice for them , poor little sausage x

It’s nithing major (yet!) and I’m hoping her rock-solid temperament will carry her through relatively unscathed. Other than being reminiscent of a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, there wasn’t a hugely obvious difference when she was in season, so I’m hoping she will cope with this in the same manner! Gosh, I hope she doesn’t need milking like the Pig, though! :D

I was told by the vet to milk one of my chihuahua foster dogs once. While the poor dog seemed to love it, I can truthfully say that I really never need to milk another dog again in my lifetime.

Apparently J has had to move all the bedding to a closed-off room because Squidge kept taking it off the bed and dragging it downstairs and outside to make a nest!
Conchita is most put out she’s lost her mound of pillows for snoozing on.
