Not a Lab, but Millie , we got up this morning to find a pathetic little bundle with one eye closed tight , I gently lifted her eyelid and nearly died on the spot , a huge red looking lump Straight to the Vet who put a dye in her eye, it showed a big ulcer which she said must be very painful indeed so she has had a painkilling shot , painkilling drops and antibiotic type cream to put in twice a day . We were at the beach yesterday morning, the sand there is very gritty so we think she got some in her eye which has caused the ulcer, it looks horrendous , poor little scrap
Re: Ulcer on her eye Oh no poor Millie :'( I know how you feel on this one Kate, Charlie had exactly this problem about 2 years ago, it appeared over night and was just awful must have been so painful, same treatment prescribed as Millie and it really did clear up quickly, he did look so down in the dumps. Lots of big hugs and licks from Hattie & Charlie and extra cuddles from me xxxx

Re: Ulcer on her eye Thank you , it hasnt put her off her food She is being everso good re having the oitment put in and I have clipped the hair away from her eyes too , she is quite pathetic when not well

Re: Ulcer on her eye I am sure the ointment will be very soothing for her and I hope she gets better very quickly. She looks the sweetest little dog and you must feel extra protective of her after her sad beginnings in life.
