Unable to post pictures as an attachment?

Sorry to be a pain but it keeps telling me "You are not authorized to create or remove attachments"?

 

Hi Roz, I'm afraid only avatars can be uploaded directly to the forum server, you need to use a third party host like flickr, as we did on the old forum, to put images in your posts.

I always use Photobucket and am not keen on the Flikr registration process which wants too many personal details and insists I have another email address .... so, I guess I'll forget about posting pics.

 

You should still be able to use Photobucket in the same way as you did with the previous forum. I don't use Flickr, either, I use Imgur.

 

Yep, photobucket is fine Roz, I was just using flickr as an example.

 

I thought I had tried all the possible methods with Photobucket but will have another go in the morning .... thanks for the encouragement

 

Roz - I had a play - I just copied the IMG code and directly pasted it into the post with no image tags and it worked for me.
Was that what you did?
