Thought we'd head to the marsh outside Stockbridge this morning. It was a bit grey......

Pulled up to a full car park and a field quite full of dog walkers. I thought my dummy would stay in my pocket with Riley's proclivity for making new friends.

All in all shaping up for a dull walk with lots of getting my dog back from other dogs

    :(

    But no! ;D

We walked to heel off lead, greeted when released and left when asked. A couple of lovely memory retrieves with other dogs nearby. We braved the steep river bank for a bit of paddling a a couple of running water retrieves. All topped off by by lots of swifts darting overhead.

    A lovely mornings walk ;D

Ah Barbara your walk sounds a bit like the one I had last week........then I woke up ;D ha ha ha ha!!
Sounds perfect, and a story like that makes helps me in my aspirations to achieve that perfect heel walk past distractions.......one day, maybe, one day ;D If i was a fellow dogwalker today I would have been the person standing watching and admiring your beautifully trained dog ,glad you had a lovely walk x

Fantastic Barbara and Riley that is great walking to heel off lead, we can only manage that in the garden with Charlie ::) You have worked extremely hard Barbara you deserve this progress. Helen x

He needed a bit of verbal correction as we walked along to keep him steady but I am VERY pleased with him as other dogs have been our bete noir
