I am just about to leave for my mini break, decided to wait and take jasper along to the vets with my son..... :(on examination the vet thinks it could be a chipped bone in his shoulder, he as got to go on friday for a pre op,.......the orthopaedic will do x ray then decide if she needs to refer him for c/t scan........no treatment at this stage ,.....he can have two short walks a day and try and keep him calm,.....i am leaving him in the safe hands of my son who is devastated......a mums intuition is always right .....will keep you updated on his progress :)

Oh Lynne,I'm sorry for Jasper and you and your son too.i think you have said your vet is an orthopedic specialist so Jasper is in great hands medically .......and care unparalleled at home. You have a lovely break...Logan will be looking forward to it too.The hot weather will make Jasper keen to relax and slow down.everything sounds in place to investigate thoroughly and get him better :*

It's good that you went with your instincts and got him looked at. I'm sure they will get to the bottom of it and everything will be fine in the end :)

    Have a good break :)

Lynne, glad you had a lovely break with Logan. Sorry to hear about poor Jasper, I am sure all will be OK and well done on acting on your instincts and taking him to the vets. I hope all goes well and Jasper will be OK. I think pre-op is just like for humans, blood pressure, weight etc. to make sure he is fit before his surgery. Don't worry, but you will. Helen xx

One thing is for sure - he will get the very best of care from you and I'm sure he'll make a fast recovery.

I know it's really hard not too, but try not to worry too much. We can worry ourselves into a knot and often the reality turns out to be a much smaller and quite manageable problem (much less than our imaginations led us to think).

We're all right there with you too :)
