We took Bella for her second jab yesterday. 3 hours after she brought all her food back up. Completely emptied her stomach. I can understand her bodies response to being given a small dose of the pathogen but what was more interesting was that she appeared to have something happening in her paw pads. I can only describe her reaction as if she had pins and needles. Anyone else had a similar reaction? A small meal last night, a good nights sleep and she seems fine now.
No , I haven't ever experienced anything like this , but just to say I`m glad that Bella seems fine today . I do think some dogs can react to vaccinations , so maybe she is just one of the unlucky ones . Regarding her paws , she hadn't been walking in nettles had she ? One of my dogs always reacts, even if the nettles are very young plants , causing her awful itching .
What vaccinations did she get? Was it a combo? No problems with dogs here, but I have had to separate vacs for the cats. Two had pronounced, long lethargy but nothing like Bella.
Hello there, and welcome. No, never seen anything like this after vaccinations. It might have been nothing to do with the vaccinations. She might have sneaked something to eat, or picked something up, or just have a minor bug etc.
In 45 years of dog owning 8 dogs, all who have been regularly vaccinated, I have never had anything like that.
Thank you for all your feedback. I think the vaccine was Eurican by Merial. Bella is fine now, I'll just have to see what happens with her booster in a year. Thank you.
