We usually take Harley (12 weeks) for a walk around 5pm. Harley usually loves the garden during the day, but due to the torrential rain and wind, has hardly ventured outside until desperate to go to the toilet. She was shaking earlier when the rain was pounding the windows. The weather has calmed down a bit now, but not sure for how long. So, the question is, do I take her for a walk or not??? Any advice gratefully received x
Re: Walk or not? I would just let her out into the garden and go with her , adverse weather can really upset pups , not only pups either, its horrible here in south Cornwall and my two wont go outside :
Re: Walk or not? I always feel awful if Charlie doesn't get his walks - but if it's just too bad to go, I don't, and tell myself firmly that he'll come to no harm missing a walk or two. We play indoors games or do a bit of extra training instead.
Re: Walk or not? Indoor games are great when the weather's awful. Getting them to use their brains tires them out well
Re: Walk or not? We went on a very short walk and got back just before the rain started Definitely going to play games inside tonight. Thanks
Re: Walk or not? I was over at my parents this afternoon for a lovely family lunch. Otis went in the garden, and managed to scoff four windfall pears, I couldnt catch him rascal, we came home and he had a light dinner and then went in my garden, he did a poo, but Im thinking theyre will be a runny bum later, we have had torrentail rain here, and the winds getting up, so I think its just the garden for us, and hopefuly he will do all his poo outside !
Re: Walk or not? Why is it Labz go crazy for water of any description; rivers, puddles, ditches and mine love the overflow pipes that flow into the sea or rivers, but they don’t like rain??? ??? :
