    Hello everyone,

I have just noticed that Murphys back left leg doesnt look right when he is walking. I cant explain it, other than that it just looks funny and I think he has a slight limp, and when i say slight I mean slight! OH and my friends who are here all say that he looks fine and completely normal, but I am sure it doesnt look right. Dont know whether to leave it or go to the vets in the morn.

I havent been on in a while as have been in the Maldives on honeymoon. Back to reality now though...

    Thanks in advance!

First of all, hope you had lovely ,romantic ,relaxing honeymoon?
Sorry to hear about Murphy.......for me ,having been around the forum and seeing owners trusting their gut feelings I personally would go and get him checked out.some of the injured dogs have recovered successfully though with some quiet days of rest and gentle lead walks....so there's an argument for that I guess.if it was Dexter, first dog and all ,I'd be at the vet after 24 hours rest if I could still see the limp.
Others will be along and more help I'm sure ,take care x

Hope you had a lovely time on your honeymoon!

Was Murphy in kennels while you were away? Could he have hurt himself playing with another dog?

We're off to the vets tomorrow as well, Poppy is limping slightly on her front right shoulder. A constant worry, these dogs!

Good luck both, hope it's just minor and it'll heal quickly.

I would definately give him 24 hours rest before doing anything else and if it hasn't gone away then, then I would phone the vet.

Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle or a sprain which would usually improve after a couple of days of rest but if it goes on longer than that I would get him checked over just to be on the safe side!

Any news on Murphy's odd walking? Hope he is ok.

We are on anti-inflammatories and lead walks for a week, as Poppy has the doggy equivalent of a sprained wrist, with the tendon running down to her toes swollen and painful.

Thanks everyone. I just rested him and it seems to have gone. Although I was the only person who could see it so maybe it was never there in the first place! I will keep an eye on it, it was quite a scare though! Oh dear i hope Poppy is ok. Murphy sends lots of licks! X

Hi Frankie, glad Murphy is feeling better. It doesn't matter if you were the only person to notice, you go with your gut instincts and you won't go wrong :) x
