Puzzle has recently discoved the joys of getting wet and muddy, she has found that water is the best thing on earth other than food of course. She loves fetching a ball from water and splashing around having fun, while barley stands on the bank watching her like she is some deranged creature ;D. She has not been deep enough to swim yet, but it is early days yet. We have got a few photos of her first introduction to water, i will upload them tommorow as i am soooooooo busy, only just had time to come on here during my graphics lesson
Re: Water!
Er I think in a graphics lesson it is mandatory to upload photos Annabelle!
But impossible is i don't have my camera with me ;D
Re: Water! here are a few photos of her having her first dip. sorry that they are blurry, its hard to tell her to keep still when she is having soooooooo much fun
Re: Water! Is that a bridge in the background? Only a true Lab owner would join their dog in the stream rather than use the bridge

Only a true Lab owner would join their dog in the stream rather than use the bridge
yes it is, you can see my wellies one the 4th pic, dad was taking the photos with barley who was giving a look of disgust towards her playing in the water
Re: Water! They're brilliant photos! Dexter is a puddle dodger at the minute Maybe that's a good thing in this weather? Ha ha
Re: Water! Labs and water - a match made in heaven. Only things labs possibly love more than water is MUDDY WATER.
Re: Water! looks like puzzle had fun haha ;D Whenever Oscar has been near walker he's been so hesitant and not wanting to go near it - hope this changes over time. He is still young no doubt he'll be in the water in no time, he's into everything else haha ;D
Re: Water! Looks like she was having great fun!! And Annabelle, weren't you trying t tell me that there's no green in England in the winter?? I think you are mistaken!!! I can't wait to take Simba down to the river in the summer....as far as I know it will be his first time and he will be 2

Re: Water! So as a continuation of this, i am now thinking of her safety in water. It is wise to buy a floatation thingy for her, or is it not worth it. Also are there any floating long lines you can get, as an emergency drag her to the bank kind of thing incase she gets out of depth or caught in a current
Re: Water! If you get some of that cheap (often light blue) 3-ply plastic rope/string that floats well. You can get more expensive braided versions too. Be careful though as it can be a bit vicious on your hands.
Re: Water! Love the photos. Gorgeous girl. Think I must have odd lab cos Meg hates water. She will walk around puddles rather than walk through them. She tolerates hydrotherapy but anything else no way. Even when we've been to the seaside in past years she would run up to the waves bark at them and then ran away and go back and do it all again.! Entertained people on the beach though. You can buy lifejackets for dogs, but I think they're expensive.
