How long can an 8 month old lab hold her wee? Ours seems to go every 2.5 to 3 hours during daytime but no problem at night. What is a reasonable expectation at this age?

I'd say 2.5 to 3 hours is pretty reasonable. That's about what Betsy does coming up to 7.5 months.

It's not reasonable to ever expect a dog to hold wee during the day like they can at night. Because they are settled down and sleeping at night, just like humans don't need to go to the loo in the night like we do during the day.

My adult male dog will hold wee during the day for much, much longer. It doesn't mean it's good for him to do so though, he is motivated to hold wee because he is an entire male so he wants to wee on walks and mark.

I think it's reasonable for a fully grown dog to have the opportunity to go to the toilet every 3 to 4 hours.
