Well we have successfully completed our first week as Choccie Lab owners, and Isla has been an absolute delight. Thanks to the kong thread we have found she loves banana smooshed into a kong, she loves a carrot but her absolute favourite is sweet potato mash. We've only been giving her very small amounts of those things as we don't want to upset her belly, but I'm very glad to say we seem to have a dog with a good appetite for healthy things! She's so smart! At least I wasn't expecting her to be this smart She already comes to her name and 'come' She sits to 'Sit' or a hand gesture, she's even started pretty well on 'lay down'. I've got my Dad's old whistle out now too and I've started introducing the whistle along with 'come' to bring her back to us. She loves out little 5 minute training sessions. She had her second jab last week, we're very much looking forward to taking her out this weekend for her first walk. It's my husbands birthday on Saturday so we're planning a little walk and then a stop off at a dog friendly pub for a spot of lunch Here are another couple of pics from through out the week, just because she is adorable! I've lost my husband to another girl I think! she LOVES her monkey and always uses him as a pillow She's even getting used to being on a lead
Oh my goodness, no wonder she is so loved, not only is she a clever girl, but soooo pretty too It doesn't take long for them to worm their way into our hearts
Wow what a cutie! We bring our chocolate girl home in just under 2 weeks. Very excited, hope we have as good a first week as you have with gorgeous Isla!
