    [IMG] Hi,

I am looking after a gorgeous chocolate Labrador "puppy". He is 7 month and looks already fully grown.
Ernie is not my dog, but I just love him and look after him most of the day.
I didn't see him for two weeks and now I saw a weird spot on his snout, where the fur seems to lost pigmentation. Is this normal?
I am not his "mum" so wouldn't be able to take him to a vet...

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

    Pat, x

    Hi Pat
My previous black lab lost a small patch of pigmentation on his lower lip at quite a young age. The vet said that it was fine but would always be there and it was.
I would have thought you could tell if it was a spot or a growth rather than pink skin instead of brown.
Mention it to the owner so they can keep an eye out.
How lucky are they to have such an observant dog minder.

    Hi Julie,

thank you for the reply. It looks really like pink skin. Not sure if I am overprotective, but Ernie is a "borrowmydoggie" dog and I am quite in love with him. His owners are great and are at the moment on leave so I have cuddles all day :D. When they are back, I will speak to them.
    Have a lovely day!

It might be that he had a little scab there or injured it and when the scab comes off, it can leave behind just the pink skin. It will probably stay like that.
