Hi All Got a new lab she is coming on 9 wks now. We have noticed and concerned with her weird toilet problems, she goes into the garden for a no.2 however she wees indoors to a degree where she goes out then comes in and wees. I am hoping some one out there has had this experience and can advise. Kind regards Jon
Re: Weird Toilet training problems Hi Jon. A lot of people have had this problem. The only suggestion I can make is as soon as you see her starting to sniff and crouch down, pick her up and go outside and maybe say a cue word like 'go wee wee' then reward her with a treat if she goes. Keep taking her outside every half hour or so and say your cue word and have treats ready to hand to reward her. She will soon realise that she is meant to go outside Hope this helps Ternaya and Harley (6 months old)
Re: Weird Toilet training problems I'm doing ok here too with my training, certainly anytime we are not 100% on the dog he is crated and that so far today has seen zero accidents Tie that in with the advice above and you should be fine
Re: Weird Toilet training problems The only blemish on what is a great pup, she gets a treat when she does go outside and lots of praise. Will try the other ideas every half hour/hour and like the crate idea, beleive in discipline. thanks guys for advice, sharing experience and response
