Yesterday on our morning walk we were walking up a long track when ahead I saw a runner coming towards us, so did my 12 month old lab.

He started to run towards the runner so I called him back to which he came and told him to sit and stay.

He stayed perfectly still next to me as the runner approached and ran past then happily carried on his way as the runner had gone. I was so pleased!!

Now if only he could just behave like this around other dogs!

Well done, that's great, such a lovely feeling when it goes right!
Tell me about still working on this and Cassie is 2 ! She is improving though.

That is a good boy. My neighbour was recently hurt, minor scrapes, when two Lab sized loose dogs happily jumped up and gave her some bad scrapes. The dogs were without their owner and neighbour was afraid of them.
