Just wondering what type/brand of food you are feeding your labs? Looking for dry kibble that will satisfy her. I have her on eukanuba large breed, I think she may be allergic to it? She scratches for 15-20 minutes every morning!

Mine came to me on Purina Pro Plan, then switched to raw, then Royal Canin analergenic to sort out allergies. Now I know it isn’t food related I am about to switch back to raw.
Chicken is often a cause of food allergies/ intolerance so check the chicken content of what you are feeding. Does she scratch from waking or after eating or going out for a walk?

My girl scratches in the morning from the time she wakes up for about 20 minutes.
She was on purina puppy chow beef, and switched her to eukanuba large breed puppy. I found out the royal canin bought eukanuba and it was nearly impossible to find a bag of her food. I am looking to put her on a lamb or fish. Blue buffalo seems like a pretty good brand. Need to do more research. I should tell you she was scratching when she was on the puppy chow also. I am also going to look into her being allergic to her bed?

I would look at the environment she sleeps in. A very common allergy is house dust mites which all houses have but they multiply in carpets and soft furnishings. Maybe her bedding is too hot and she is sweating overnight or allergic to the washing powder you wash it in?

I am going to wash her bed cover today in special detergent and then see if that helps. I cool the house cool to the point I freeze my husband. I have a bit of OCD so I hope it's not dust mites! Yuk!
