Hi everyone sorry long time no post - life is astonishingly busy this year! I felt I had to check in with my lab loving friends though as I was very surprised this week. Lily my partner's labradoodle has finally come in to her first season which we knew might be somewhat challenging with two boys dogs in the house - albeit both "done." Both boys have been very interested in her and Barney in particular would try to mount then last night I was astonished as he managed a full on "tie". I didn't know this would be possible in a castrated dog - surely there wouldn't be enough testosterone? Now of course he really won't leave her alone and I'm worried he'll now be much more motivated to follow the scent of a bitch. The vet tells me that this can happen "but as long as he really has been done we should be ok" - not liking the "should" in that sentence! If I'd known I would have made sure to keep her properly separated...
Re: Who knew? You're right David he has the biggest grin and a slight limp ;D ;D ;D She's almost like a 16 year old who's pulled the 21 year old with the sports car and has discovered grown up fun!!
