After a wonderful positive post about me and my pups progress in the training forum my wife just informed me she's going home for a month while I'll be away and asked what I want to do with Duggan while she's gone. I barely trust her with him at this age and state of progress. What can I do. Omg. This is a huge deal.

So will she be looking after him in a new place...? Not sure what you mean the arrangement will be.

If she's going elsewhere and your house will be empty perhaps an dog savvy house sitter might be an option. They are definitely out there :)

It sounds like she's doing you a favour. If you barely trust her as it is then it's probably better for your piece of mind (and for Duggan) if he stays in kennels or if you can find suitable in home care. At least this way there's no awkwardness of finding alternate care whilst your wife's at home.

What a blow! Could Duggan go and board with is breeder? How often do you go to sea and will this happen again!

I would be trying very hard to get an experienced and caring doggie person to house and dog sit for you while you are both away. Or have Duggan minded at the home of an experienced and caring doggie person.

Avoid kennels or any mass dog boarding place.
