Re: Why dogs spin before they poop I wrote to the Times about this a while back but they didn't publish the letter. My observations of Lady showed that 100% of the time she pooped with her nose pointing directly into the prevailing wind for obvious reasons. North/south orientation was purely coincidental. ;D
