I thought it's been some times since I've posted any puppy porn, so here's a catch-up. They're getting very tall now. I think their general condition is great - Willow naturally holds a touch more weight than Shadow, who has a propensity to get skinny during his growth spurts, but they both have good muscle tone from walking in the mountains :)

My little man, Shadow (excuse the lack of skirting board, we're waiting for it to be delivered from the UK, hopefully next month!)

What became of that new ducky toy after a few minutes Yes, she's teething, too!

They are both looking gorgeous! Willow looks just like Inca! Just in the process of switching between phones otherwise I would have put a photo up for comparison. I know what you mean about Shadow looking skinny when he's on a growth spurt, Inca does the same. What do their parents look like? Inca's mum is a very light working build and I think she will be the same.

Both parents are fairly light working build, both quite short. I don't have any pictures that really show off their build, but here's a couple showing their faces :)

Ruby - mum, who loves her cuddles, just like Shadow

    Jake - daddy, gorgeous boy

These guys' owners bought Ruby a couple of years ago. She was being trained using very harsh "traditional" methods, which left her very nervous. The guys who have her now were asked to look after her for a couple of weeks, and they were so sad to see how her potential was being suppressed by how she was being trained that they bought her. She's now trained using much kinder methods and she's flourished into a very strong - and happy - working dog. Jake is bombproof and so willing to please. Both fabulous doggies and I hope to do them justice by bringing my two up to be well-mannered and slightly trained approximations of them :)

Yes, he is; he looks so much like his mum, who is very pale. I find it funny that the more golden coloured puppies were snapped up really quickly. I really like his paleness, although the stripe along his back is darker than when we first had him. I have no idea if the lighter colour is less desirable to the people in the know. To me, he's beautiful :)

I think the golden ones are more 'fashionable' at the moment - although I use the word lightly. My dad is a big fan of the very pale yellow labs and over the years he has had a few. It's been quite amusing watching how some years the very pale puppies in the litters that he has chosen from have been snapped up whereas other years the darker ones seem to be more popular.

Both the parents are gorgeous and from what I can see the puppies look to have inherited a bit from both which is nice :)
